What was once an overlooked geothermal field is now breaking records.
Last week, Zanskar celebrated a ribbon cutting at the Lightning Dock Geothermal facility in southwest New Mexico, officially making LDG 44-7 the most productive pumped geothermal well in the United States.
Lightning Dock was once considered an “underperforming” site but we saw it differently: a field full of untapped potential. By combining AI-powered geoscience with advanced exploration and drilling technology, we transformed this nearly forgotten field into a record-setting source of geothermal energy.
We were honored to mark this moment alongside Office of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Cabinet Secretary Melanie Kenderdine, Cabinet Secretary Rob Black, and many of the customers, partners, and community members who helped make this possible.
