Lauren Hartle
Lauren Hartle is a Principal at Azolla Ventures with the responsibility to oversee pipeline strategy, develop partner relationships, and drive investment diligence. Prior to Azolla Ventures, Lauren joined Prime Impact Fund as its fifth team member where she performed initial due diligence on four portfolio companies ranging from Tynt Technologies to Avalanche Energy Designs. Earlier, Lauren was a postdoctoral scholar at Tufts University, where she focused on novel inorganic absorber layers for photovoltaic cells. Lauren began her career in R&D at AlphaVax, a vaccine development start-up. Lauren holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Harvard, where she developed the Energy 101 short course and led the Energy Journal Club.
