Jillian Chase
Jillian Chase is a Principal at Azolla Ventures. Jillian is trained as a biochemist and molecular biophysicist, with a specific focus on structural biology, protein structure & function, DNA structure & function and biotechnology. She has spent her career in venture capital at Flatiron Venture Partners, where she was most recently a Vice President. Her work at Flatiron fostered a keen interest in cellular manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing techniques and AgTech.
Jillian received a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a concentration in Pharmacology & Toxicology from the University of Rhode Island, spent time working in the in vivo Immunology product development group at Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) and worked in the lab of Nobel Laureate Dr. Roderick MacKinnon at Rockefeller University / HHMI before receiving her Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics at the City University of New York / City College of New York.
